New Business Spotlight: The London Method

Kelly at her home studio.
My friend, Kelly Wackerman, just opened this month a new exercise studio called The London Method. A few months ago she went to England and studied with Lotte Berk's daughter Esther Fairfax.

Berk, formerly a ballet dancer, in the 1950s developed a series of exercises that focus on the idea of building “core stability.”

Similar to pilates and yoga, the Lotte Berk method concentrates on targeting specific areas of strength and flexibility training.

The result, as Kelly puts it, it is to “...slim your waist and lift your bum!” Kelly is very committed to teaching the exercises as Lotte Berk had intended.

The address of the new Bluff Park location is 2236 E. Broadway, Long Beach. For class time and more information go to thelondonmethod.net. You can also find them on Facebook at  www.facebook.com/TheLondonMethod.

Long Beach business owners, if you have a business you'd like me to spotlight and review let me know I'm always looking for content. It must be something I'm interested in and will be interesting to write about. josh.montgomery@kw.com
